EA FC 26: Towards a price increase? EA responds bluntly

Faced with the many price increases announced in video games lately, many are wondering who will be next to take the plunge. For its part, Electronic Arts therefore takes the opportunity to take stock.

In recent months, the gradual increase in prices which the video game industry has been the victim has no failure to make react. Of the PS5 for sold at 800 € to Mario Kart World and its € 90, including yet another increase of € 50 for Xbox Seriesthere is something to worry about the future. Besides, many are already starting to wonder if other publishers, such as Take-Two with GTA 6 For example, could follow the trend. But in any case one thing is certain: this will not be the case for Electronic Arts, and therefore Air fc 26.

No price increase in sight for EA FC 26

On the occasion of his latest financial report, Andrew Wilson confirmed to investors that no revaluation was planned for their part. “From the point of view of the Games, we have not made any change to our current strategy at this stage” says the CEO of EA in particular. However, this did not prevent him from emphasizing that in his eyes, all these changes are ultimately only the reflection of an industry constantly evolving. “Our business is very different today from what it was even ten years ago” he said.

“In a world where everything we did ten years ago was to sell pretty plastic boxes on store shelves, even if it is still part of our business, it represents a much smaller part of our activity. And we now have prices that represent everything, from free-to-play to the Deluxe and beyond editions ” he adds then. “And what we have discovered over time is that if we manage to associate quality and value, our company is strong, resilient and continues to grow”.

Words that still sow doubt …

That the players of EA FC 26 therefore reassure themselves, the title should not cost more than the € 80 in force for Air fc 25. That said, if there is one thing that industry has learned from us in recent years, it is that things can evolve very quickly. And necessarily, when you see Andrew Wilson concluding his declaration by “At this stage”it is difficult not to consider the idea that the question is in reality already under study. So let’s hope that we will not be dealing with a domino effect now that Nintendo has rushed into the Pandora box.
