As the Summer Game Fest, the first games expected during the conference hosted by Geoff Keighley, are approaching.
In two weeks, Geoff Keighley will officially kick the traditional summer conferences with his Summer Game Fest. Scheduled for June 6, it is always an extremely awaited moment by the players each year. And for good reason, it is an opportunity for publishers to take stock of their future future games, who then benefit from a new spotlight when they are not announced with great fanfare. And precisely, as the event approaches, the program is gradually starting to reveal itself.
Two experienced games for the Summer Game Fest
It has indeed become a habit on the part of this dear Keighley, just a few days before the launch of the festivities, the time has come for him to raise the hype a little. And to do this, nothing better than giving a first overview of the games that we can discover during this Summer Game Fest. Like, for example, WUCHANG: Fallen FeathersAction-RPG Souls-like developed by Leenzee, which will be a little before its release scheduled for July 24 on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.
But that’s not all since the presence of a second game was also confirmed in stride. It will then be Chrono Odysseyan open world MMORPG developed by Chrono Studio. Without release date for the moment, this title described by its creators as “A new generation MMORPG of action […] propelled by the Unreal Engine 5 “ should thus be entitled to new images for the Summer Game Fest. Knowing that a Playtest phase has already been announced for June on Steam, without further details to date.
A summer schedule little busy for the moment
And that’s just the beginning. Because the more the Summer Game Fest will approach, the more the different studios will be able to confirm their presence or not at the event. Especially since when these lines are written, almost no major publisher has indicated its intention to make an event on its side. Nor PlayStation, whose presence is still uncertainneither Electronic Arts, nor Ubisoft, Nor Square Enix, Capcom, Nintendo… In short, you have seized the idea. To tell the truth, it was only Microsoft who confirmed the holding of his Xbox Games Showcase for June 8, which will then be surrounded by several other conferences mainly dedicated to the indie scene.
