This weekend, the Xbox Game Pass delights its subscribers in terms of games to be tested for free, with in this case eight titles from a cult license.
All the weekends As part of its Free Play Days program, the Xbox Game Pass offers subscribers to try one or more games without additional cost. Until May 25, 2025, Microsoft’s flagship service puts small dishes in large, with no less than eight games to try and potentially adopt. To spoil nothing, they all come from a properly cult license where there is only war. A hell of a program in perspective, if by chance you were looking for enough to take care of this weekend.
Eight glorious free games to test on the Xbox Game Pass this weekend
Last week, the Xbox Game Pass offered subscribers to test three very different games for free: House Flipper 2, Sim World 5 train and Final Fantasy Origin: Stranger of Paradise. For this penultimate weekend of May 2025, however, a very clear theme is emerging for the particularly generous number of eight titles to try for free. There is indeed a question of a very cult license in the fantasy and science fiction fields: Warhammer, and its 40,000 declination, in celebration of the Warhammer Skulls 2025 festival.
Thus, the Xbox Game Pass offers to try eight games of these two vast and fascinating universes without additional cost. You have until Sunday May 25 at 9 p.m. to try to go around, and add them to your library if you liked the experience. Here is the list of titles concerned by the Free Play Days program below this weekend below.
- Blood Bowl 3 : a very crazy strategy/management game of an “American football” club in the world of Warhammer
- Chaosbane Slayer Edition : a nice hack’n slash in the diablo in the world of Warhammer
- Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters : an xcom-like in the world of Warhammer 40,000 where you manage a squad of Space Marines Knights Gray Gray
- Darks : a Left 4 Dead-like in the world of Warhammer 40,000, by the developers of the Excellent Vermintidide
- Inquisitor Martyr Ultimate Edition : a solid hack’n slash in the world of Warhammer 40,000
- Mechanicus : A mixture between Xcom-Like and Dungeon Crawler in the world of Warhammer 40,000, by the talented French studio Bulwark Studios (Ixion)
- Rogue Trader : A huge C-RPG in the world of Warhammer 40,000, by the developers of Pathfinder Kingmaker and Wrath of the Rightteous
- Shootas, Blood and Teef : a shoot’em up side-scroller where you are tasting everything at the controls of an ork in the world of Warhammer 40,000
Thus, a very busy program arises for subscribers of the Xbox Game Pass this weekend. It therefore risks being difficult to be able to try everything in such a short period of time, especially for massive titles like Rogue Trader. Note however that these eight games will then be available at a reduced price for a few days, if this free trial period convinced you.
