Mindseye: PlayStation reimburses players, the game soon deleted?

In a catastrophic state since its launch, Mindseye is currently starting to be reimbursed from PlayStation to players. The situation could therefore very quickly deteriorate for the studio.

We told you about it not later that yesterday: MindsEye is currently in an extremely delicate situation. Since its release on June 10, the first title of Build A Rocket Boy has indeed been the subject of a lively controversy, notably fueled by the catastrophic state in which it was released. Bugs in abundance, Technical problems and untimely crashes in particular make progress within the game particularly chaotic, so much that PlayStation begins to make a radical decision.

Mindseye, the new Cyberpunk 2077?

Since yesterday, the Japanese firm seems to have decided to apply the same policy as for Cyberpunk 2077 In 2020, namely reimburse the players who request them. “The PlayStation support reimbursed me [MindsEye] without problem and said they are aware of the optimization of the game and are investigating the situation ” In particular revealed a surfer to Reddit, a photo in support as proof. And he is not the only one since on X, other Internet users also start to indicate that he was entitled to a refund.

For players, who may feel injured to have spent € 60 in a visibly finished game, this is perceived as good news. For Build A Rocket Boy and Mindseye, on the other hand, it does not bode well. Because remember, things had started in the same way for Cyberpunk 2077 at the time, before PlayStation finally decided to remove the game from the blind for several months. The time for CD Projekt Red to make the necessary fixes, and make it a little more playable than its launch.

The studio is preparing many patches

Which was initially perceived as a joke by some, Mindseye being in particular compared to Assassin’s Creed Unity for its many bugs, or Watch Dogs For its gameplay, could thus be on the way to taking unexpected proportions. Nevertheless, aware of the situation, Build A Rocket Boy provides working hard on many fixes intended to improve the situation as quickly as possible. “We have a broken heart when we see that all the players could not live the game as we had planned”deplores the studio in X.

“Our priority is to optimize performance and stability so that each player, whatever their platform, can benefit from a similar high quality experience. […] We are fully committed to ensuring that all of our players have a pleasant experience, and we will continue to provide frequent and transparent updates ”. Knowing that three updates are then already planned for Mindseye: the first will arrive before June 15, the second the week of June 16, and finally the last before the end of the month. The start of a long series?
