Dungeons & Dragons: This game canceled in Leaké, RPG fans will be disappointed

Victim of a wave of cancellations which occurred in 2023, the Donjons & Dragons game developed by Hidden Path is now resurfacing through images of flight at the run.

The video game industry is a ruthless environment. If a large number of games have the chance to see the light of day daily, this is unfortunately not the case for many others, which are sometimes canceled behind the scenes before even having been officially announced. The American publisher Wizards of the Coast also proved it to us a few years ago, confirming the abandonment of several projects under development. And in the lot would then be a game Dungeons & Dragons Designed by Hidden Path, whose images have today leaké.

Images of a Donjons & Dragons Cancelée Give Surface

Indeed, a video of almost eight minutes recently appeared on the canvas, revealing gameplay of this famous third -person RPG taking place in the universe of Dungeons & Dragons. We see in particular several minutes of combat, an overview of the open world and its environments, several cutscenes, exploration phases, and finally an infiltration sequence. So many elements which, at first glance, could then suggest that the development of the game was relatively well advanced.

Of course, as it stands, it remains impossible to determine at what stage of development was this Dunge & Dragons game at the time of its cancellation. However, in view of the images presented, there is no doubt that the title of Hidden Path would have been able to speak to a certain audience, and in particular to the RPG lovers in the third person. Especially after the colossal success met by Baldur’s Gate 3 In 2023, which largely contributed to putting the universe of dungeons & Dragons under the spotlight in the eyes of the general public.

Mystery project

Now the fact is that a great mystery still continues to surround this project. Because if Jason Schreier assured in 2023 that Hidden Path’s RPG was one of the titles canceled by Wizards of the Coast, the studio firmly deny the information indicating that he was still at work on a Donjons & Dragons game. A game which we have still not heard of since. In fact, do these images really come from a game canceled several years ago, or from a title being developed? The question arises …
