The Hokuto no Ken franchise, or Ken survivor in France, is about to ignite the hearts of fans with big announcements. The cult manga has not said its last word.
It is over time that we realize the cult status of a work. In the world of manga, there are truly essential titles, whose name still resonates through eras. Alongside names like BerserkDragon Ball or One Piece, we cannot forget Hokuto no Ken (or “Ken, the survivor” as we called him here). Regularly returned to the screens since his beginnings in the 1980s, he had nevertheless been more discreet in recent years. But all of this is about to change!
Ken the supervisor is preparing to hit hard
You don’t know it yet, but Ken the survivor is far from dead! The cult manga of 1983, renowned for its violence, is far from having disappeared. In France, we discovered it thanks to the essential Club Dorothée who had broadcast the first anime taken from the work of Buronson et Tetsuo Hara. However, the series that had followed had not had the same range in France, until now at least.
In fact, the legendary fighter is about to return to the screen. A new anime was announced in 2023 by Warner Bros Japan. Since then, the silence was king around this new adaptation entitled Fist of the North Star: Hokuto no Ken. But things finally accelerate! The anime official website finally unveils a window of Diffusion scheduled for 2026accompanied by a first visual.
That’s not all! We will very soon learn more about this project. In fact, the new Ken series the survivor will be presented to during the Convention Anime Expowhich will be held in Los Angeles from July 3 to 6, 2025. On this occasion, the first names of the vocal cast will be revealed, as well as the First trailer. Be ready, because it promises to hit a big blow.
