Released last April, The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered has already found its place in nostalgic RPG lovers. Thanks to theUnreal Engine 5this modernized version shines visually. But a detail made teeth cringe: Bethesda chose not to offer official support for mods. A surprising choice, especially for a license also linked to its community of modders. Fortunately, this same community was quick to react.
The latest mod for The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion is perfect proof. Imagined by a certain CosmicBoogaloo, this file replaces the traditional arc with … a Glock pistol. Yes, in a world full of magic, trolls and daedra, you can now stroll armed as in a modern FPS. The MOD, called Glock – Functional Gun in Oblivion Remastered, allows either to add the weapon to your inventory, or to automatically replace all the basic arcs.
For the moment, the Tes4 command console must be used to obtain the weapon and its ammunition. But a future update should add a dedicated merchant NPC. A more immersive way to integrate this modern delirium into the world of Tamriel. Everything is available via Nexus.
A modding scene always so alive
Despite the absence of official tools, Oblivion Remastered has already become a playground for modders. Some add new factions, others of Fallout 4 systems, and even indirect multiplayer features, to Dark Souls. This new MOD confirms one thing: players do not need validation to create, test and have fun in The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered.
