Good news for this long -awaited game on PS5: an ad has just been made in this sense, and it should delight players. In the area, no one will hear you shout.
After a halftone outing on Xbox Series X/S and PC, STALKER 2 : Heart of Chornobyl are about to disembark on PlayStation 5. GSC Game World has just published a new trailer, confirming an outing scheduled for the end of 2025. An announcement that could offer the game a second life, provided that this new version corrects the many problems that have marred its debut.
A PS5 port which promises more immersion
According to the developers, the PS5 version of STALKER 2 will fully exploit the specific features of the Sony console. We are talking in particular of the haptic return and the adaptive triggers of the DualSense, which should strengthen immersion in this radioactive and ruthless universe. An update dedicated to the PS5 PRO is also under development, even if it is unknown for the moment if it will be ready in time for the launch of the new console.
On PS5, it will bleed. The universe of STALKER 2 was able to seduce part of the public thanks to its heavy atmosphere, its unsupported approach and its demanding survival mechanics. Each resource is precious, and exploration, as dangerous as it is to be, requires composure. The title does not take the player by the hand and makes the bet of a raw immersion.
But its launch last November was sealed by many bugs, sometimes blocking, especially on PC and Xbox Series X/S. Despite regular updates, some players won, tired of too unstable experience. On the Stalker 2 forums, several fans today express their disappointment, after having supported the project from its beginnings. Hopefully the PS5 version is more stable.
A return to seduce new players
This PS5 port of STALKER 2 therefore represents much more than a simple technical adaptation. This is an opportunity for GSC Game World to rectify the shot, to attract a new audience, and perhaps to restore the image of a title that has not yet shown all its potential. But for that, the promises will have to be held, the fixes are up to par and that the game is finally up to expectations. It remains to be seen whether this new version will convince the players PlayStation, and if STALKER 2 Can still hope to establish itself as one of the great survival games of its generation.
