Blackbird, a development project at Zenimax Online Studios, been canceled for the benefit of Fallout’s development? This is what new information seems to indicate.
Dirty time to work at Xbox, will undoubtedly tell you the company employees. Almost three weeks ago, the Redmond firm had one of the darkest days in its history with more than 9,000 layoffs announced at Microsoft. Obviously, the gaming division was then heavily impacted with cancellation of several projectsincluding a development MMORPG at Zenimax Online Studios. A cancellation which, obviously, then hid a more particular design linked to Fallout.

And for good reason, to believe the Jez Corden journalist, the cancellation of this famous project, identified as the code “Blackbird”, would have been aimed in particular to reinvest the money and the resources of the studio in the development of Fallout games at Bethesda, and in particular Fallout 5.
“Last week, there was an internal meeting at Microsoft. One of the questions posed by one of the staff members was: ‘Why was the Blackbird project canceled?’. And from what I was told, they literally declared at this meeting that one of the reasons why they canceled Blackbird was to make strategic bets in other areas. “Fallout 5 was not specifically mentioned during this meeting” Specifies Corden, however, after this declaration in the Xbox Two Podcast.
