Fallout 5: you will play it for at least 600 hours and Bethesda says so

We may have to wait many years before we can get our hands on Fallout 5, but one thing is certain: it will give players something to occupy themselves for a long time.

While Fallout has just made its return to Prime Video with the launch of its second seasonthe Bethesda franchise is naturally not failing to make headlines again at the moment. Whether in solving mysteries fifteen years old thanks to the series, or by taking advantage of the broadcast of the latter to update games like Fallout Shelterthe studio certainly knows how to please fans. And this is even more true for those who wait Fallout 5which is slowly but surely starting to get people talking about it.

Fallout 5 promises to have a colossal lifespan

Indeed, through the numerous interviews given to promote the series, valuable details were gleaned here and there from multiple developers working at Bethesda. It obviously starts with Todd Howard himself, who for example did not hesitate to confirm that Fallout 5 will share its universe with that of the series, which means that we can probably expect to find various references there. But things don’t stop there, since we know that we can also expect a very large-scale game.

In any case, this is what Emil Pagliarulo, design director, revealed in the columns of Game Informer, where he spoke in particular about what he personally dreams of accomplishing with a game like Fallout 5. « I would love for it to be as successful a game as the previous Fallout games, and one that continues to give fans what they love.” he explained. « You know, one that offers them a captivating story, with systems they love and an experience that doesn’t last 20 hours or 100 hours, but 200, 300 or even 600 hours, because that’s the kind of games we make ».

A lifespan that could not be more ambitious, which is far from surprising us as we know how much Bethesda likes to offer mass content to its community. Let’s just hope that the studio will not fall into the trap of favoring quantity over quality, and that Fallout 5 will be able to offer us an experience at least as exceptional as Fallout 3, New Vegas or even Fallout 4which gave us hundreds of hours of memorable adventures. « The industry has evolved, and we want to evolve with it”concludes Pagliarulo. We just ask to see.
