A little before the release of the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series ports of FF7 Remake, a new collector’s item on a whole new level was officially revealed.
The cult of FF7 has taken on a new dimension with the arrival of the trilogy of remakes, which will conclude soon. Tackling a work as emblematic as the most popular episode of the saga was a risky bet, but Square Enix, Tetsuya Nomura and the teams are doing wonderfully for the moment. Naturally, it is the conclusion of this re-imagining that will be most awaited at the turn. Before that, Midgar and its political and ecological plots will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series, allowing a new audience to discover the first adventures of Cloud and AVALANCHE.
And who says new audience, says new merchandising. Because, with FF7, Square Enix has gold in its hands, and the Japanese publisher regularly releases new goodies around the game and its emblematic characters to capitalize on the immense success of the game. This involves very expensive figurines, but which every fan dreams of having on their shelves.
A figurine of Aerith in FF7 Remake to die for
A master in collectible figurines that make any self-respecting geek green with envy, Prime Studio knows how to make players fall for it. The Japanese company had already made a lot of noise when it marketed its first statues, larger than life, of Cloud, Zack et Sephiroth. After this excess testosterone, it’s time for flowers and sweetness. It will be Aerith’s turn, in her version of FF7 Rebirthto be immortalized and sculpted by Prime Studio. Little information has been shared to date, except that the figurine will be in 1/4 scale, and that it will be marketed “soon”, with no window announced at the time of writing.
Like those of her male counterparts, the Aerith figurine should be offered in two versions. A Deluxe, which allows you to display the mage in several poses, and a classic, which is frozen. Based on the prices of the rest of the Square Enix Masterline collection, the Prime Studio figure of Aerith should cost around $2,100 in its simplest version, a kidney.
