Next week, Animal Crossing New Horizons will return to action with the arrival of its big update 3.0. And we may already know more about the exact timing of its launch.

And there is no doubt that things are only just beginning for the machine, which will welcome new titles from 2026 such as Mario Tennis Fever or Pokemon Pokopia for example. But before that, Nintendo however gives us an appointment again with Animal Crossing New Horizons for the arrival of some new features.
Animal Crossing New Horizons update launch time already known?
Indeed, we learned several months ago now, the hit with more than 48 million units sold will resume some service on the Nintendo Switch 2, where it will be entitled to a big 3.0 update from January 15. On the program: graphic improvements with, in particular, support for 4K, the possibility of finding up to 12 players online, or even obviously compatibility with the new features of the console such as the mouse mode of the Joy-Con 2 and the integrated microphone.
The most interesting for Animal Crossing New Horizons players, however, remains the introduction of the “Happy Home Paradise” expansion, the objective of which will be to help Admiral and his family manage a seaside hotel to attract new tourists to the island. An extension which, for the good news, will be completely free, and available on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. To tell the truth, for the moment, only one big unknown still remains: when will we officially be able to take advantage of it?
If Nintendo has yet to confirm the information, it is currently rumored that the update could arrive on the night of January 15, around 1 a.m. Note, however, that this is just speculation, based on the launch time of previous Animal Crossing New Horizons updates. That said, we shouldn’t have to wait too long to find out now, since patch 3.0 will officially arrive next Thursday. And despite a recent little disappointmentfans are certainly more than impatient.
