At PlayStation, 2026 opens as it should with the arrival of a first round of free games for PS Plus subscribers, who can now collect them.
2025 may officially be behind us, but don’t worry: great adventures are already waiting for us on the horizon. Of course, you will then have to show a little patience before you can lay your hands on Resident Evil Requiem, 007 First Light, GTA 6 and other Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis. However, fortunately we can always count on services like PS Plus to occupy our playing time, notably with the arrival of three new titles to collect for free today.
New free PS Plus games are available
Indeed, like every month, the Sony service welcomes on January 6 its first burst of free games to be recovered via the PS Plus offer which, as we now know, has in reality much more to offer than we imagine. And the least we can say is that there is something for everyone at the start of 2026. First of all, in the absence of being entitled to a new opus soon if we are to believe the latest rumors, car enthusiasts can now get started on Need for Speed Unboundthe latest installment in the Electronic Arts saga.
Then, for PS Plus subscribers looking for more magic, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed seems to be the perfect experience, promising an epic journey through the Disney universe in the remake of this 3D platform game initially released on Wii in 2010. Finally, for the more exploratory among you, it’s the world of Core Keeper which opens its doors to you, clad in all its mechanics. Because more than an exploration game, this gem from Pugstorm also turns out to be a farming and management game mixed with a touch of action.
Note that these three games, available free of charge to all PS Plus subscribers, can be added to your library until February 2 in order to be kept for life. Well, at least as long as your subscription to the PlayStation service remains active. It should also be noted that while Need for Speed Unbound is only accessible to PS5 players, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed and Core Keeper, for their part, are also playable on PS4. And there is no doubt that with all of this, you will have plenty to look forward to until the first releases in 2026.
