The American West of Red Dead Redemption 2 is shaken by a new discovery that is as surprising as it is exciting for players around the world.
Rockstar Games definitely likes to play with its communities. If the mystery of GTA 5 is one of the most emblematic, we should not underestimate the scale of those of its western license. The proof once again with an unprecedented discovery in the universe of Red Dead Redemption 2. Almost 10 years after its release, fans are finally on the verge of unlocking an unsuspected secret.
A new mystery from Red Dead Redemption 2 ignites the web
Lately, the mysteries of Red Dead Redemption 2 surprisingly resurface. An interview with Dan Houser, for example, lifted the veil on the truth behind the “Strange Man” and Gavin. But, this time, it was the fans themselves who put their finger on something that had actually been in front of their eyes since the game’s release in 2018.
Three Internet users, goldenplaysterraria, pariah87 and u/FL4VA-01, observed a symbol that was far from insignificant. You can find it yourself by going to the Heartland Oil Fields, east of Valentine. If you look at the telegraph poles between 3 and 4 a.m., you will see that one of them has the drawing of a spider. However, fans ended up realizing that this is not the only one in Red Dead Redemption 2. More than that: by connecting the different occurrences of this motif on the game map, we would see the shape of an arachnid appear.
How far will the spider mystery go?
Red Dead Redemption 2 fans’ investigations led them to a tree in the center of the pattern on the map. On it is woven a real spider web with the letter “N” on it. Following the telegraph poles to the north, they found a message to follow other poles to the west. There, another message ended up appearing, leading to a guitar in the North West this time. Now, this is where we realize that, seen from the sky, Fort Wallace takes the shape of the instrument. On site, we find one in a guard tower.
This is where we arrive at the final stage of the mystery of Red Dead Redemption 2. Players noticed that one of the roof tiles of this guard tower bore a drawing of birds pointing towards the Northeast. Neither one nor two, they followed the direction indicated until they came across birds at Calumet Ravine. Arming themselves with their binoculars, they took a look towards the montagne facing them. What a surprise to see… a point d’interrogation ! Except the location is located off the map. How to access it?
For the moment, the research is therefore relatively blocked. At least, for most fans. Because, with a little resourcefulness (and the recourse to mods), PC gamers may well be able to reach this point. This could well lift the veil on the secret of the spider in Red Dead Redemption 2. What will they discover? Mystery.
