A few weeks before the release of Resident Evil Requiem, Capcom is preparing for its traditional Showcase intended to provide plenty of information on this new opus.
Things are approaching at high speed for Resident Evil Requiem who, after having benefited from quite a spotlight on the occasion of the Game Awards 2025where Leon’s presence was finally made official, will talk about him again very soon. Indeed, before Xbox spoke up for its Developer_Direct from January 22, it will be up to Capcom to address players around the world with a new Resident Evil Showcase, which will naturally be dedicated to the next opus to come. Here are all the details.
Making an appointment with us this Thursday, January 15 from 11 p.m. (French time)Capcom announces a conference of approximately 12 minutes dedicated to Resident Evil Requiem. On the program: new gameplay images, of course, but also new information shared by the development team. If we refer to the teaser released for the occasion, we can undoubtedly expect a certain focus on the character of Leon, with some interventions from Koshi Nakanishi, the director of the game.
No more details on this future Showcase for the moment, even if some speculation is inevitably involved. For example, we can obviously wonder if, like the last opuses so far, Resident Evil Requiem will also be entitled to a demo ahead of its release on February 27. Because if this is the case, it could well be that it will be announced during the presentation, then put online immediately by Capcom. Which would certainly make many fans happy.
Note also that if we go to the official website of the event, the publisher specifies that “some games presented during the event are not suitable for children”. Knowing that only Resident Evil Requiem was mentioned in the teaser, we can therefore wonder if other games will also be present and, if so, which ones. Will we be entitled to a few words on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 versions for Resident Evil 7 et Village ? Or even to unexpected surprises ? See you on January 15 to find out.
