Shortly before its presentation next week, Forza Horizon 6 was the subject of a leak concerning its release date which should arrive very soon.
On January 22, 2026, the Xbox Developer Direct will notably be the scene of a large format presentation by PlayGround Games of the highly anticipated Forza Horizon 6. Ahead of this live event, however, the title was the subject of several revelations in advance. A few days ago, we learned that it could finally be released first on PC and Xbox Series, then at a later date on PS5. Today, a new leak takes Xbox to task by revealing its first release date.
Forza Horizon 6 release date leaked
While waiting to see Forza Horizon 6 in action in the magnificent landscapes of the Land of the Rising Sun, Xbox is still paying the price for a leak which pulls the rug out from under it when it comes to the announcements to expect as part of its next Direct. We knew that PlayGround Games’ next flagship game was going to be released in 2026, but it was still unclear exactly when.
A week before the famous Direct which will allow the developers to show us what Forza Horizon 6 has under the hood, an advertisement apparently released earlier than expected has visibly revealed the pot-aux-roses before its time. It is in particular to Xbox Infinite that we owe this discovery, which therefore presents a attractive image of the game, to say the least, as well as a text relating to its pre-order.
We can thus read the following elements: “ Pre-order now to receive an exclusive Ferrari J50 in Forza Horizon 6 “. Below, there is talk of pre-ordering the Premium edition or purchasing the Premium upgrade, which would include:
- 4-day early access starting May 15
- VIP Membership
- Welcome Pack
- Car Pass
- Time Attack Car Pack
- Italian Passion Car Pack (post-launch)
- Two Premium expansions (post-launch)
Via the mention of early access included with the Premium version of Forza Horizon 6, we can therefore deduce that the title will be released in its basic version on May 19, 2026, a priori first on PC and Xbox Series. However, this information should be taken with a grain of salt while awaiting official confirmation.
