Like every week, theEpic Games Store offers one or more free games to collect and above all to keep for life. It’s an event that no PC player has missed for years. This week, two local adventure games are being offered, rather nice titles and unfairly shunned in our opinion.
After ending the year 2025 in style by offering more than ten free games, the Epic Games Store is back in 2026 and is off to a flying start. Last week was addictive Bloons TD 6 which was offered. A colorful and extremely generous tower defense game in which we used an army of little monkeys and crazy traps to eliminate swarms of balloons of all kinds. This Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 5 p.m., two new games, French this time, will be offered. Two adventure titles from the same license which met with a little success, although not really a hit.
Two good free games offered on the Epic Games Store
The Epic Games Store is offering two good adventure and infiltration games this week developed by the French studio Cyanide. Of the Thursday January 15 at 5 p.m. hot, so you can recover Styx Master of Shadows and its sequel Styx Shards of Darkness released in 2014 and 2017 respectively. If the games are not free of flaws, they are very good AAs full of humor and good ideas, but also with successful artistic direction. In this license, we play as Styx, a goblin who has a real gift for infiltration, theft and murder. With Master of Shadows, the guy will try to get his hands on a golden sap with magical properties, but fiercely guarded in a huge tower that hides many secrets.
In the second episode Shard of Darkness, also available on the Epic Games Store, Styx attempts to unravel the secret of black quartz, a powerful resource kept in the capital of the Dark Elves, a matter which will not be easy. If both games are offered at the Epic Games Store this month, it’s not for nothing. The third part of the saga, Styx Blades of Greedarrives on February 19. The goblin will once again be looking for quartz, but while the war rages between the orcs, humans and elves. While waiting for the third game, you can therefore repeat the previous two by collecting them from January 15, 2026 at 5 p.m. sharp.
