They have just made new discoveries on the manufacturer’s official website which point to a new version of the console.
A new Nintendo Switch 2 in preparation?
Proof and supporting image, a dataminer claims to have got his hands on the trace of this new model by delving into the bowels of the official Nintendo site. More precisely in the section dedicated to user account management, where Big N repeatedly mentions a console code distinct from those assigned both to the Nintendo Switch 2 provided to developers (the famous dev kits) and to the models currently marketed, both grouped under the name BEE. However, the publisher already seems to be preparing the ground for another variation of the console, referenced internally under the code name OSM.
An identifier which, by forcing the hand a little, refers to an image of the Nintendo Switch 2 as we know it, and above all to a very real product code, in other words, to something sufficiently materialized internally not to be a simple matter. placeholder. It is also rumored that the console once had the code name “Ounce”. The acronym could then refer to “Ounce Small Model”, in other words a hypothetical Nintendo Switch 2 Lite. Obviously, all of this is currently just speculation by the community based on freshly unearthed elements.
Or a simple console overhaul?
The Internet was already ablaze last week following the publication by Big N of a promotional image accompanying the release ofAnimal Crossing New Horizons on Nintendo Switch 2, on which a console with a significantly larger screen appeared. However, it seemed to have more to do with the clumsiness of a graphic designer than a real discovery, unlike what concerns us today.
Needless to say, finally if the omnipresent conditional in these lines was not already sufficiently explicit, that all of this information should be taken with all the usual grain of salt, pending a possible officialization from Nintendo.
