Xbox Game Pass: two new games available, they are really excellent

Xbox Game Pass is being enriched again in January 2026. Two new games are entering the catalog today, they are definitely worth the detour.

Microsoft is not doing things by halves at the start of 2026. The North American publisher continues to refine its on-demand offering through its flagship gaming service, the Xbox Game Pass. Subscribers can now enjoy two additional games. For once, one of them comes from a more than cult license, while the second is a real gem to discover day one.

Two great new games in Xbox Game Pass

Throughout the month of Januarythe Xbox Game Pass sees its offer evolve. If certain games are forced to exit the catalogreaching the end of their exploitation rights, others, on the contrary, enter. Thus, several remarkable new titles are for subscribers to discover or replay.

After Rematch, Final Fantasy of the first name or even Atomfall, these are two new games which are becoming available in Xbox Game Pass on Tuesday January 20, 2026. First, you can treat yourself to a dive into horror with Resident Evil Village just before the release of the next opus in the franchise. Then, the new indie (and French) gem MIO Memories in Orbit is available day one.

Resident Evil Village, the horror rollercoaster is available

The story of Ethan Winter, begun in RE 7continues to the height of horror with Resident Evil Village. This time, it is not in his wife’s footsteps that he sets out, but that of his daughter, still a baby, kidnapped in dramatic circumstances. As he wakes up in the middle of a town lost in Eastern Europe, he must face unsuspected monstrosities. From a village to Lady Dimitrescu’s castle, it’s a real gory and intense ghost train which is available to players. Accessible on PC and console, the game is available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Premium subscribers.

MIO, a new metroidvania you absolutely must try in Xbox Game Pass

In a completely different style, MIO Memories in Orbit is the new gem published by Focus Entertainment. This post-apocalyptic metroidvania stands out for its aesthetic, whose play of colors borrows from manga from the 1980s and 1990s and a retrofuturistic universe which could be part of the universe of Jules Verne. In the shoes of a small robot which gives its name to the title, your objective is to repair an abandoned spaceship while the surrounding nature reclaims its rights over technology. The Parisian studio Twelve Tenths (Shady Part of Me) marks a prodigious return here, between poetic narration, captivating exploration and dynamic boss fights. You can discover day one via Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, on Xbox Series X|S, PC and mobile.
