While waiting for a formal announcement on this subject, Ubisoft has officially reacted to the recent leak relating to Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake.
Although not directly from a Ubisoft somewhat in turmoil recently, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake has been talked about again via various other channels. On the one hand, rumors indicate that it could be subject to an internal postponement of at least a year following the sudden and unexpected cancellation of Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake. On the other hand, some suggest that it could be the subject of an announcement soon, in particular because of the leak of a collector’s figurine of its main character. Instead, the French giant expressed an official reaction on social networks.
Reference and reaction to Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake leaks
As things currently stand, there is very little concrete information regarding the Black Flag remake, although a leak from PEGI site suggests that its official title would be Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag Resynced. Another, stranger leak dates back to last summerwhen figurine manufacturer PureArts, apparently unaware that the game had not yet been announced, mentioned during a live stream an upcoming Kenway figurine. However, the latest leak around Black Flag was precisely a figurine of its main character, through a person on Vinted.
Faced with the avalanche of rumors concerning the remake ofAssassin’s Creed Black Flageven Ubisoft seems tired of keeping the secret and reacted to the latest with the same iconic Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. While the leak of the Edward Kenway figurine quickly made the rounds on social networks, the official X.com account for Assassin’s Creed notably responded with a screenshot of CJ’s famous line, ” Ah shit, here we go again! “, taken from the introduction to GTA: San Andreas.
In addition to this leak relating to a figurine from the game, other rumors suggested that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced was due to be released very soon. However, it seems that it is one of the many postponements that have occurred following Ubisoft’s “major overhaul”. Hopefully we can learn more about it soon, or even play it soon, via an official announcement taking a more concrete form than even one in reference to San Andreas.
