On the menu this week: a cult license which allows you to play one of its latest episodes, an extremely popular game which is still a hit, the sequel to a very popular Obsidian game and one of Ubisoft’s biggest titles still active years after its release. It’s a whole program that extends from January 29 until February 1, 2026. And before you say anything, yes, depending on your subscription, some games are already available in the Xbox Game Pass catalog. But think of those who don’t have access to it!
Fallout 76, survive the apocalypse with your friends
The first free game in the selection is none other than Fallout 76the multiplayer game that allows you to discover a new, still unexplored side of the franchise. Also available in Xbox Game Pass, Fallout 76 received heavy criticism upon release before redeeming itself with fans thanks to numerous updates and a ton of new content. Recently, the game has added new features such as the possibility of having pets or even fishing. It has also been the subject of a long-term collaboration with the Fallout series currently available on Prime Video. Dead by Daylight, gut your friends or survive as a team
The second free game of these Free Play Days is none other than Dead by Daylightan asymmetrical horror game, the last representative of its kind. Many games have tried to do like it, but none have survived this long. DbD continues with new chapters and collaborations, like recently with Stranger Things to celebrate the season on Netflix. Although you cannot directly test this specific DLC, if you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you will however be able to find out what the game is worth in 2026 by trying it thanks to the Free Play Days.
For Honor is free for Xbox Game Pass subscribers during Free Play Days
Ubisoft is also part of Free Play Days this week with For Honorits multiplayer action and combat game. Having been around for many years, the game now allows you to play no less than 30 heroes from very different universes. The game features a ton of game modes, ranging from deathmatches to duels to objective modes. As an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you can now test it for free for a few days and discover all the new features.
Grounded 2, Honey I Shrunk Xbox Players Again!
Finally, last free game available to all Xbox Game Pass subscribers this week, Grounded 2 opens its doors to everyone. Currently in early access, Obsidian’s survival game takes the recipe of the first opus by integrating a good number of new features. Miniaturized in a garden, you will have to build a camp, feed yourself but also face various now gigantic insects. Grounded 2 may still be in development, but it already offers solid content to experience alone or in co-op.
