In the meantime, Xbox Insiders members are the first to be able to benefit from the redesign of achievements, the display and notification of which have been reworked to have a more modern look. Knowing that this will then continue to differ depending on the nature of the success, that is to say depending on whether it is rather classic or rather rare. “Notifications will also adapt to your custom color, making each unlock even more personal” also reveals Xbox for the occasion.
A feature requested for years is finally here
For players, however, this is not the most interesting part of this announcement. For years now, many achievement hunters have been asking for the ability to hide certain games from their list, as these can be difficult due to their low completion rate. Because with a service like Xbox Game Pass for example, it is not uncommon to launch a game that is attractive at first, before finally abandoning it due to lack of satisfaction. In which case, few achievements are then unlocked, ruining the perfect hunter profile.
But thanks to this redesign, this is a problem that will now be a thing of the past. “From the end of the month, you will be able to hide any game from your achievement history on your profile, giving you greater control over how your achievements are presented” says Xbox Wire. “Whether you want a cleaner profile or simply highlight what matters most to you, you now have total control over your profile”. Knowing, obviously, that hidden games will still be counted in the total Gamerscore.
