Stardew Valley fans will have a new game to enjoy. An unexpected alternative has finally made its big announcement, it promises.
We regularly talk to you about games Stardew Valley. And for good reason, there is a real explosion on the independent scene. The proposals pile up, each trying to find its identity. A new title has just been announced, a sequel that fans of the first episode have been hoping for for 8 years. It could well become a new benchmark in terms of farming sim. Get ready.
If Stardew Valley put you in charge of a cemetery
The phenomenon of Stardew Valley-like is not about to stop. We were able to see this again last night, during the Triple-i Initiative conference. The indie games event provided previews of a bunch of games expected in the coming months. Some caught the attention of fans of ConcernedApe’s game and one sequel in particular.
8 years after the first episode, Lazy Bear Games and tinyBuild finally unveil Graveyard Keeper 2. Find the desolate lands of a medieval cemetery that you will have to maintain sustainably. Like Stardew Valley, it is therefore a very complete management and simulation game. Your mission is to rebuild the city, help its inhabitants prosper and protect the territory with an army… of zombies! You will thus find gameplay that combines farming, crafting, production chain and even tower defense.
Already in 2016, the license had convinced with a magnificent achievement in pixel art, proving once again that the strength of HD-2D. The announcement trailer shows us a Graveyard Keeper 2 that is just as pleasing to the eyes. We should also find thehumour which hit the mark in the previous part. Additionally, expect an even more comprehensive experience, one that should rival Stardew Valley in its own way. Between a dark but crazy universe and all its missions to complete, this new game promises to keep you busy for a long time.
Graveyard Keeper 2 will be released in 2026 on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch et Nintendo Switch 2. If you don’t know the license yet, the first game is offered for free on Steam until April 13.
