Not a week goes by without Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced fueling discussions in the video game community. Doubt is no longer allowed and we explain why.
For several months now, rumors have been growing around a possible return ofAssassin’s Creed Black Flagregularly cited as one of the most popular episodes of the series. Release window, team in charge, extent of rework: the broad outlines of this remake now seem known, with one exception, and not the least: its announcement date. Summer Game Fest, State of Play, The Game Awards… each video game high mass nourishes the hope of seeing Edward Kenway’s tired smile displayed in high definition again, in vain. However, the clues are multiplying. Between cryptic declarations from Ubisoft, internal preparation uncovered by Internet users and indiscretions from classification organizations (never the last to reveal the publishers’ plans), Ubisoft struggles to hide its intentions. This time, all doubt seems definitively removed. The French group is indeed preparing to formalize Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake very soon.
This is confirmed again for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced
Ubisoft has been active behind the scenes since the start of the year. The French publisher is working, not so discreetly, around the remake of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag, an open secret for quite a while now. It must be said that when even the PEGI classification body lets the name of the project filter, Resynceddoubt is no longer really allowed. Just yesterday, we learned that Ubisoft had, on several occasions and within 24 hours, updated domain names and sites linked to Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake and Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake. An administrative ballet often observed before a major communication, and which echoes the other discoveries of the day.
For no apparent reason, the official channel Ubisoft Music has put the music from the original game online. 18 emblematic pieces, which accompanied our wanderings on the Caribbean seas, are now publicly accessible. Other content remains hidden for the moment in playlists not listed on the various official Ubisoft accounts. According to sources from Tom Henderson (Insider Gaming), the marketing campaign for Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced was initially scheduled to begin in January 2026, with a planned release sometime in March. The insider also claims to have seen marketing materials mentioning a release of Prince of Persia The Sands of Time Remake set for January 16, 2026.
Barring a spectacular shadowdrop, however, it seems that Ubisoft has revised its schedule internally. The announcement of Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Remake could therefore arrive later than expected, but many are now betting on a more thunderous revelation, possibly during a Ubisoft Forward. It remains to be seen if the publisher will finally confirm what everyone already thinks they know soon. To be continued…
