Borderlands 4 recently received a big new update, finally integrating a feature that many players have been waiting for since its release.
Gearbox recently rolled out to Borderlands 4a week after the previous one, a new “Major Update”. According to the studio, this is the second of such scale for the title, and it turns out to be rather significant for good reason. Among its most important additions, we will remember that of a very popular functionality which, as on Borderlands 3made itself a little desired.
Focus on the new “major update” of Borderlands 4
Released last September on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series, while waiting for a version Switch 2 potentially coming on February 27, 2026at least according to a recent leak, Borderlands 4 has recently received the second “major update” of its existence. Like its predecessor, this one includes, among other things, a feature that took its time to arrive on the title: a popular mode Photo.
The update notes, to be found on the Borderlands official website confirm, however, that the Photo mode is limited to gameplay and will not be available during cutscenes. Here again, Borderlands 4’s photo mode shares something in common with that of its predecessor, since we found the same restriction on the latter. Likewise, Photo mode is not available in split screen on consoles. The camera position in this mode still uses the classic movement controls and offers several tabs offering a wide range of settings, with different visual effects.
In addition to the important addition of Borderlands 4’s photo mode, its “second major update” also includes a Reworked Harlowe’s “Zero Point” Action Skillas well as Dedicated loot spawn rate based on Ultimate Vault Hunter levels. This update also adds new content like bosses and world events. Something to occupy yourself while waiting for the rest of the road map post-launch of the game, including the first major DLC coming during this quarter, and which will notably add a new playable Vault Hunter to Borderlands 4, in short.
