In addition to the European tour which will return in spring 2026, this preliminary meeting will present the creation of Sandfall Interactive to you in a completely different way. It will also be an opportunity to get a little something that many will envy you later.
France welcomes a new event for Clair Obscur Expedition 33
Voted game of the year 2025 in the last Game Awards (and in many other ceremonies), Clair Obscur Expeditoin 33 shines in many ways in the eyes of the public and the industry. Among the elements that contributed to its success, we cannot miss its sublime artistic direction. Each level is a painting in its own right and a mise en abyme of painting.
What are the manufacturing secrets behind the aesthetic of Clair Obscur? How did the teams design the characters and environments? To answer these questions, Sandfall worked with publisher Pix’n Love to produce a artbook exceptionalwritten by the author and curator Marine Macq, to whom we already owe similar works on Steelrising, Dordogne and Jusant.
It turns out that the author will be signing in Paris on January 25, 2026 for the book The Art of Clair Obscur Expedition 33: For Those Who Come After. She will be accompanied for the occasion by the game’s artistic director, Nicholas Maxson-Francombe. The meeting will be held at the librairie Album Comics Parislocated at 67, boulevard Saint-Germain in our capital, which inspired Sandfall to create the City of Light. You can bring your own copy of the artbook or reserve a copy. This will be an opportunity to have it signed and why not ask a question in passing to the artist as well as to Marine Macq.
