Exodus, a true spiritual sequel to Mass Effect, shows itself again and reveals new hot and boiling environments, but also some interesting powers for exploration.
While Mass Effect 5 shines only by its silence, these two cousins benefit greatly from it. The Expanse Osiris Reborn will launch a closed beta on April 22 on PC, whileExodus continues to reveal gameplay to increase the sauce. The latest extract shows us even more exploration.
Exodus follows in the footsteps of Mass Effect and it’s still as promising
Exodus will take us to the ends of the universe on a quest that will take on gigantic proportions. Like Mass Effect, it will be about ensuring the survival of all humanity and much more. We will play Jun, a character who will have to do everything to fight, accompanied by several companions with whom it will be possible to form bonds. The subtlety of the game comes from the fact that our travels will be subject to time distortions caused by interstellar travel, as in the film Interstellar For example. A few hours on the surface of a planet can actually be several days or years elsewhere. A feature that should take on its full meaning as we explore.
Like Mass Effect, Exodus promises a good number of explorable planets and varied environments. After the ice, the game reveals a new setting, fiery underground spaces where molten lava flows. We can also call on special skills, which are reminiscent of the use of powers in Mass Effect again. In Exodus, they can be used to unlock passages during exploration in addition to decimating enemy ranks in combat. Exodus is expected on PS5, Xbox Series and PC from spring 2027 and has already given us an appointment this summer for an in-depth presentation.
