As rumors surrounding Fallout remasters continue to intensify, new clues spotted on Steam once again seem to indicate that something is afoot.
Since the launch of the second season of the Fallout series on Prime Videothe news continues around the Bethesda franchise. Whether through new details for Fallout 5new updates for certain titles already released, or even about what could await players in the future, there is certainly something to get their teeth into. And it also turns out that the rumors reporting the potential arrival of remasters for Fallout 3 et New Vegas continue to gain momentum with these new discoveries.
More proof of the existence of remasters for Fallout?
Indeed, since the success encountered by The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered in 2025, many players hope that other Bethesda titles will receive the same treatment in the future. With, in particular, games like Fallout 3 and New Vegas at the top of the list. And this is good, since if we are to believe recent information shared by Jez Corden, these two projects would indeed be in the pipeline for Xbox. Moreover, this new discovery made on Steam does not fail to add fuel to the fire on this subject.
Because as some Internet users have noticed over the last few hours, a strange error message has started to appear to users wishing to leave a review about Fallout 3 and New Vegas. “You should wait until this product is released before writing a review about it” indeed indicated the Valve platform, even though the two titles have been released for a long time. For players, there is therefore no doubt that this could be a sign that remasters are approaching.
Especially since this would not then be the only sign discovered on Steam recently. According to another Reddit user, the platform tends to list a total of twelve Fallout games in the search bar, even though only ten results are ultimately displayed on the page. Again, so this starts to make a lot of coincidences pointing in the same direction. Although, as always in this type of situation, it is still very important to keep a cool head.
Be careful all the same
Because as some of the responses to the posts in question have rightly pointed out, it appears that Fallout 3 and New Vegas are not the only games affected by the error message on Steam at the moment. Titles like Batman Arkham Origins or Kerbal Space Program are also affected by this phenomenon, which could therefore be a simple technical problem. As for the number of games listed in the search bar, this could obviously take into account regional versions not counted in the results.
In short, in other words: it is probably better not to get too excited, even if everything once again seems to be converging towards the existence of new projects linked to Fallout. Projects which, let us remember, should not benefit from a shadowdrop release according to Jez Corden. That said, as Xbox prepares for the release of its Developer_Direct next week, it is rumored that a fourth mystery game might just join the party. Will it be one of the remasters in question? Response January 22.
