Forza Horizon 6 will soon get a presentation to see what’s under the hood, but some bad news for many players has surfaced before then.
After a little teaser during a conference at the Tokyo Game Show, Forza Horizon 6 has very recently been talked about, since he will be one of the three headliners currently known to the Xbox Developer Direct coming on January 22, 2026. Playground Games will therefore be able to present to players their next title which will take us on the Japanese roads, probably with a release date as a bonus. Ahead of this event to watch out for, however, we have learned that some players may have to hold back on this subject.
A two-stage departure to be expected in Forza Horizon 6 Japan?
On the occasion of Xbox Developer Direct coming this January 22, 2026Playground Games will have not one, but two games to present. In addition to Forza Horizon 6, for which the British studio is particularly renowned, it will also finally present to us the Fable new generation in more detail, five years after its first announcement and a worrying radio silence towards it. Their appearance at this first conference for Microsoft’s gaming branch means in principle that they will both be released in 2026and we should finally learn more precisely when. Xbox Game Studios obliges, they will necessarily be released on PC and Xbox Series.
We know, however, that Forza Horizon 6 will also be entitled to a PS5 version. Given the recent history of the X brand, we suspect that Fable should follow the same path. Before knowing for sure in ten short days, Andy Robinson from our colleagues Video Game Chronicles would however have important information on this subject from sources apparently close to the file. “ I heard that Fable should be released on PS5 on the same day as on other platforms. I know they’ve been wanting to release both games on PS5 for a long time, but someone told me Forza isn’t ready yet ».
It would therefore seem that Forza Horizon 6 will receive a delayed releasewith PC and Xbox Series as a priority, and that its PS5 version will arrive later. Despite a certain reliability on the part of Andy Robinson, we should wait for the Xbox Developer Direct coming soon to find out for sure.
