Less than two years after Life is Strange Double Exposure, Deck Nine Games and Square Enix are reportedly preparing to announce a sequel. We take stock of everything that leaked.
10 years ago, Don’t Nod established itself as one of the new tenors of narrative gaming with Life is Strange. An episodic game which marked an entire generation and which has since changed stables. The Americans from Deck Nine Games have taken over at the request of Square Enix and are trying as best they can to keep the flame alive for a community eager for new adventures rich in emotion. With the fourth episode, Double Exposurethe developers took a direction that was particularly divided with the return of Max, the absence of Chloe and a future with MCU accents. For good, but especially for bad, the game has particularly divided fans of the license. And it seems that Life is Strange 5 left to follow in his footsteps.
Big reunion in Life is Strange 5
Zina Khakhoulia, French interpreter of Max Caulfield, set the scene ablaze last December. The French voice of the photographer had in fact clearly suggested that a new episode of Life is Strange was in preparation and that she was reprising her role. And as is often the case with voice actors, she had spilled the beans. The existence of a Life is Strange 5 has indeed been confirmed thanks to PEGI. The European classification body has revealed not only the name of the next game, but also its synopsis and certain passages. LIS Reunion would be aptly named, since it would bring together Max and Chloe Price on screen for the first time since the Before the Storm: Farewell DLC, released in 2018.

The reunion promises to be eventful and Max should still have some great experiences in Life is Strange 5. The PEGI notably mentions an episode where she, or Chloe, finds herself under the influence of mushrooms and hallucinates during an entire sequence where the images are distorted. The organization even spoils a scene in which a building is on fire and members of the university are trapped there. Unsurprisingly, Square Enix would also continue its momentum with outfits to purchase via DLCs and its inevitable Deluxe Edition. All this must obviously be taken with great caution until an official announcement, but when PEGI leaks the existence of a game, it is generally confirmed within the following weeks.
