Remaining discreet since his formalization in 2022, the remake of Max Payne 1 & 2 is now doing it again to give us news of his progress.
At Remedy Entertainment, there is no time to get bored. Since the release ofAlan Wake 2 In 2023, the Finnish studio regularly communicated on the progress of its various projects. Recently, for example, we were entitled to a large live presentation of FBC : Firebreakhis multiplayer title expected for June 17. A game that takes place in the universe of Control, the continuation of which has just entered production last February. As for the remake of Max Payne 1&2he too is progressing pretty well.
Remedy gives news from the remake of Max Payne
This is indeed what TERO VIRTALA, CEO of Remedy, announced, on the occasion of the company’s latest financial report. Passed in full production at the end of 2024, the title seems to have progressed well towards some of the major stages of its development. He should therefore, alongside FBC: Firebreak and Control 2be one of the next outing of the studio. But does that mean that we will soon be entitled to first images of the game? For the time being, nothing is less certain. Because as Virtala revealed during a question and answer session: marketing does not depend on them.
All communication and marketing are in their hands [de Rockstar Games]and we will not comment on this.
Tero Virtala, about the remake of Max Payne
Because yes, it is undoubtedly good to remember: if Remedy is indeed in charge of the development of the game, it is Rockstar Games who is in charge of publishing. We will therefore have to wait until the creators of GTA 6 decide to make room for Max Payne 1 & 2 in their planning before seeing the first colors. That said, nothing prevents the star firm from promoting the two titles in parallel. And if development is progressing as well as Remedy says it, we are not immune to a first trailer in the coming months. Maybe even from the Summer Game Fest, who knows?
