The Nintendo Switch 2 welcomes a huge license
Fighting games are not legion and Street Fighter 6 draws all the coverage on Nintendo Switch 2. Capcom’s port is excellent and quickly found its audience. But the famous fighting game will have to make some room since another very big fighting game will soon arrive, and it’s serious.
Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O World Stage has just been announced for the small Nintendo Switch 2 and will be released in March 2026. No specific date at the moment, but pre-orders are already open.
This port will include all the updates released to date on the final version. There will therefore be optimizations, balancing and a revisit of the training mode, which will now be more complete than ever. Virtua Fighter 5 REVO World Stage on Nintendo Switch 2 will also be cross-play with the PS5, Xbox Series and PC versions. It will also be possible to use technologies already in place, in particular its online services and fine netcode. Virtua Fighter 5 REVO World Stage will be offered in two versions.
A standard edition for €19.99 including the base game and some cosmetic bonuses, as well as a special anniversary digital Deluxe edition for €49.99. Here, in addition to the base game, you can get your hands on a ton of goodies: a Legendary Pack DLC, a Yakuza Series Collaboration Pack DLC, a Virtua Fighter 30th Anniversary Swimsuit Costume Set, the Soundtrack Collection, Ranking Titles, and pre-production Virtua Fighter artwork. If you are still hesitant, know that the game will be entitled to an open beta phase on Nintendo Switch 2 from February 18.
