Nintendo Switch 2: The publisher admits his error, a small cold shower for some

After several days of uncertainty about the issue, Nintendo acknowledges having made an error concerning the management of the VRR on Nintendo Switch 2.

The disappointments definitely seem to be linked to Nintendo. While we are slowly but surely approaching the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2the Japanese firm continues to update information around its new console, which has not yet delivered All its secrets. And unfortunately, some do not not really pleasure to players. As proof, after several days of uncertainty about the issue, Nintendo finally admitted to having made a mistake concerning the care of the VRR on the console.

No VRR on Nintendo Switch 2 in Docké mode

Indeed, at the end of last week, some Internet users shared an astonishing discovery on social networks, namely the disappearance of the mention of the VRR on the pages dedicated to the Dockée version of the Nintendo Switch 2. Inevitably, this has therefore aroused many questions, to which the manufacturer decided to answer through an official press release from the Nintendo Life site. The opportunity, then, to confirm that it was indeed an error on his part, which explains why the mention was finally withdrawn.

“The Nintendo Switch 2 only supports the VRR only. Erroneous information had initially been published on the website of the [console]and we apologize for this error ”. Suffice to say that it is again a small cold shower for part of the public therefore, in particular given the fact that this new machine is particularly expected for its technological contributions. But does that mean that you have to make an absolute cross on the VRR in Docké mode? Not sure.

A only temporary absence?

And for good reason, Nintendo Life naturally took the opportunity to ask Nintendo if we could still expect to see things evolve through a future update. His answer: “We have nothing to announce on this subject”. So certainly, it may not be a yes, but it is not a categorical no either. In fact, the hope of seeing the VR land in Docké mode on Nintendo Switch 2 in the future is not completely dead. But as it stands, one thing is certain: you should not count on the launch on June 5.
