Resident Evil 9 Requiem will be one of the most beautiful games of the year, it is already sublime

Resident Evil 9 Requiem shows up again with some new gameplay sequences and it’s confirmed: it will be one of the most beautiful games of 2026. On PC in any case, the game is already sublime thanks to Nvidia’s technologies and it proves it to us.

The year 2026 promises to be very rich in new features and one of the biggest games to come is undoubtedly Resident Evil 9 Requiem. After being the subject of numerous rumors, the game was made official by Capcom, which has continued to reveal it to us ever since. The fans are for the most part already under the spell, and curiosity awaits the most refractory, those who Village could have calmed somewhat. Resident Evil 9 Requiem is expected on February 27, 2026 on consoles and PC. And it is precisely on this latter platform that it shines today, thanks to Nvidia technologies.

Resident Evil 9 Requiem gives us a graphic slap in the face even before its release

The first feedback is unanimous on this, even in our columns: Resident Evil 9 Requiem will certainly be one of the most beautiful games of the year 2026. The RE Engine works wonders, we have already seen it at work on previous remakes like recently with Resident Evil 4 Remakeabsolutely superb. This new opus should therefore not disappoint us even if we will wait until we have the game in hand to be definitive on this, but on paper, what we see is extremely tempting.

Nvidia even uses the game as a showcase to highlight its latest technologies as it regularly does with major releases. DLSS4, Path Tracing, Multi Frame Generation… owners of an RTX graphics card, and rather solid configurations, should get their money’s worth. In these few gameplay sequences, we can notably see Grace, the heroine of the game, who walks in the crowded streets of an extremely well detailed city. The reflections and volumetric effects are numerous, the graphics are sharp, it’s really superb.

Nvidia is also highlighting its Path Tracing in a more formal way by putting it directly to the test with an RTX On / Off comparison. Here again, the differences are clearly evident. Resident Evil 9 Requiem seems set to give us a little slap in the back of the head. We can’t wait to discover what has become of Raccoon City, bombed at the end of Resident Evil 2 and which we briefly see in the first trailers for the game. A huge crater, destroyed environments, a post-apocalyptic feeling. On paper, the promises are great, it remains to be seen what the game has in store. See you at the end of February for the verdict.
