Sonic has tried his hand at many genres, but RPG hasn’t really worked for him. However, some prove that it could be extremely cool to try.

However, the blue hedgehog has never stopped renewing itself in nearly 25 years of existence, often managing to surprise us, for better or for worse. For example, if there’s one genre it struggles with, it’s RPG. While there is enormous potential on this side, as these images prove.

The answer to a RPG Sonic, which is really inspiring, has been before our eyes from the start. The proof with a fan creation which could well give ideas to Sega. Indeed, the artist Sun.mp2 produced a short video demo of what such a game would look like while keeping the sensation of speed which is the DNA of the licenseas well as a pixel art style sumptuous.
The result obtained is enough to put stars in the eyes of any Sonic fan. Between the dynamic animations, the intervention of allies like Shadowthe faithfulness to the aesthetic of the first games and a turn-based interaction system that takes nothing away from the character’s velocity, this could be considered a first-rate production. Unfortunately, all this is only projection for the moment and we will have to be content with the video without being able to play it.
