Starfield rolls out its biggest update since its release, with features we expected 2 years ago

Starfield welcomes a new update, the largest ever deployed since the game’s release, 2 years ago now. Here’s everything that changes.

Second takeoff for Starfield. After a rather complicated launch for what everyone saw as “Skyrim in space” before its release, Bethesda took time to look at and respond to the most frequent requests from players. After a long silence, rumors, then an official announcement, Starfield is now available on PS5and this second launch is accompanied by a new update. “The most important to date,” according to the publisher.

A new big update for Starfield

Bethesda’s latest RPG is now in version 1.16.236. A significantly more extensive update than usual, but which has nothing of the “Starfield 2.0” promised a little quickly by certain influencers. That doesn’t mean the studio didn’t do its homework properly, though. This Starfield patch brings features that have been requested since the launch of the game, two years ago now. Starting with the possibility of flying between the planets of the same system, even if we remain far from what No Man’s Sky offers for example, a new quantum entanglement device intended to transfer objects, or even the new X-Tech, which gives pride of place to customization.

New features which should generally do Starfield good, and which should offer a better entry point to PS5 players, who will be able to discover it in better conditions. If they are not victims of the same save corruptions which, for our part, prevented us from testing the game. For former star travelers, here is the content of Starfield update 1.16.236 in detail:
