The Division 3: new blow for the studio, the bad news keeps coming


New blow for Massive Entertainment which, shortly after being the victim of new layoffs, now loses one of the leaders of The Division 3.

Things are definitely moving a lot on the Massive Entertainment side in recent weeks, and in a rather unexpected way. Indeed, while the studio actively continues the development of The Division 3 and his other projects, it appears that movement is taking place in the teams, and not always in the best sense of the word. Because just a few days after learning that news wave of layoffs had affected the Ubisoft team, we now learn that one of its leaders is leaving the ship.

The Division 3 loses one of his leaders

It is through its social networks that Julian Gerightyexecutive producer of The Division, made his departure official shortly before the weekend. “Agents!” Brief update from the base of operations: it’s time for me to hang up my backpack (while keeping the watch) as I set off on a new great adventure » he actually confided on X. “The future of The Division looks bright, and I can’t wait for you to discover the fruit of the teams’ work” he still concludes to reassure fans of the franchise.

Because yes, the fact is that this announcement comes just a few days after Gerighty spoke at the New Game+ Showcase, where he bluntly declared that The Division 3 “looks monstrous”. “We are working very hard on [ce jeu] which I think will be as big and impactful as The Division 1” he said in particular. A project which will therefore ultimately end without him, while he leaves to put all of his skills at the service of the Battlefield Studios teams at Electronic Arts.
