This week again, there will be plenty to do with the new title offered, a true love letter to one of the most lucrative licenses in the history of video games: GTA. Two very good games available on the Epic Games store
Every Thursday at 5 p.m., PC players head to the Epic Games Store to get their hands on free games. Last week, the EGS offered no less than two games from the same franchise: Styx Master of Shadows and its sequel Styx Shards of Darkness. These two infiltration games are available until Thursday January 22, 2026 at 5 p.m. sharp, so it’s the final stretch to enjoy them.
In this saga here offered by the Epic Games Store, we play as Styx, a goblin specialized in infiltration, theft and assassination. Embittered but not lacking in acid humor, Styx sets out in search of treasure and power in these two adventures. In Master of Shadows, he will try to get his hands on golden sap, renowned for its magical omnipotence. In the second, he will infiltrate an entire city to try to steal Black Quartz, a resource as rare as it is precious which, like sap, is endowed with powerful properties.
The two games share the same love for dark humor, accessible gameplay and a slightly wacky heroic fantasy universe. Although they do not have the stature of huge AAA, the Styx games have still found a real fan base to the point that a new opus is arriving this year. Styx Blades of Greed is expected on February 19 on consoles and PC. The perfect opportunity to give yourself a refresher between now and then with the two games offered by the Epic Games Store.
A crazy GTA like as the next free game
Thursday January 22, 2026, it will be a completely different free game that will be offered, far, very far from those currently offered. It is about Rustler : Grand Theft Horse which, as its name suggests, is a true love letter to the GTAs of the time. An open-world sandbox, the game takes place in the Middle Ages and offers almost the same thing as a GTA, but in a completely different era.
