Update: PlayStation has formalized that the next State of Play will be well devoted to the FPS Borderlands 4. The event will be held on Wednesday April 30 at 11 p.m. Paris time. We will be entitled 20 minutes from gameplay.
It is via a tweet (quickly deleted) from Randy Pitchford, the boss of Gearbox, that we learned the news of an ad from the State of Play: Borderlands 4 would finally land on September 12, 2025two weeks ahead of the window previously mentioned. Even if the message was erased in stride, the machine was already launched on social networks.
The official announcement should not however be long. PlayStation is preparing a new state of playand Borderlands 4 would be widely highlighted, it is confirmed. We can expect a real presentation of the game, with gameplay, a complete trailer, and especially the confirmation (or not) of this famous date.
A change that is no coincidence
This change of calendar is undoubtedly not trivial. Many see it as an attempt to take ahead of the storm GTA 6also expected in the fall of 2025. It is better to avoid direct confrontation with a like giant. Especially since other major titles are also expected in this very busy period.
