Once again, this serious competitor of Sims 4 is revealed and impresses with a new gameplay and a remarkable sense of detail. In short, it looks rather sharp. See instead.
Since its announcement in 2019, Paralives makes fans of simulation games salivate. Facing the giant Sims 4this independent project is advancing slowly, but surely. And even if public updates are rare, each new appearance creates the event. This is still the case today, with a short extract that makes a lot of talk.
The Sims competitor is still
The video, recently shared by the official paralive game account, highlights an animation bug. We see a character sleeping completely aside, the body half out of the blankets. A fun detail, of course, but this is not what caught attention.
What bluffs fans is the realism of sheets. Each movement of the body is followed by folds which are formed naturally. The textures react, the animations are fluid, and all this in a soft, warm visual style, very far from the sometimes too smooth or frozen appearance of certain competitors. A notch above the Sims.
A team that treats details
This bug has not come out of nowhere. He accompanies a more technical update published in February on Patreon. We discover behind the scenes of development: test phases, bug hunting, constant adjustments. This concern for detail inspires confidence. Even errors are an opportunity to highlight the quality of the game engine, more impressive than that of the Sims on several aspects.
And it doesn’t go unnoticed. Under the publication, the comments are unanimous: “The animation of the cover is incredible”, “it’s so fluid!”. Enough to revive the hype around Paralives. No exact date for the moment, but early access is still planned for 2025. The game will be released on Steam, both for PC and for Mac. For the moment, fans of the most curious Sims-like can follow the evolution of the project via the Patreon of the studio, which continues to regularly reveal information in preview.
