The Nazis better watch out! After Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle, MachineGames could well relaunch Wolfenstein with a third opus in the years to come.
After dedicating almost a decade of its history to Wolfensteinit is with a new and remarkable adaptation ofIndiana Jones that MachineGames made its comeback at the end of 2024. And given the success of the title, there is no doubt that the studio is already planning to offer new adventures to George Lucas’ hero in the years to come. However, Wolfenstein fans can rest assured: the license has not been forgotten by MachineGames. On the contrary, since it even appears that Wolfenstein 3 is currently in the pipeline.
Wolfenstein 3 would indeed be in the works at MachineGames
In any case, this is what Jez Corden revealed in a long paper published yesterday, during which he looks at what Xbox has in store for us for 2026 and beyond. Because if there is no reference to a new Indiana Jones opus, the Windows Central journalist still mentions the existence of two projects within the studio. The first, described as a « Rainbow Six Siege-like »would be a multiplayer title while the second would be none other than Wolfenstein 3, whose release could coincide with the series in production at Amazon.
Of course, needless to say, all this should be taken with a grain of salt, as the information shared by Corden is not immediately official. However, the journalist is not his first attempt when it comes to discussing the underside of Xbox’s activities, we can probably give him some credit while waiting for MachineGames to officially speak. Even more so when we know that the latter has already confirmed that he has not yet finished with Wolfenstein.
“We always envisioned this as a trilogy” declared Jerk Gustafsson, the director of the studio, in a NoClip documentary devoted to the saga in September 2025. He even admitted for the occasion that this third opus should once again highlight BJ Blazkowicz, who had been left aside for the benefit of his daughter in Wolfenstein: Youngblood. Suffice to say that this smells very good for Wolfenstein 3, which has all the makings of a solid candidate for the next major release from MachineGames.
