Microsoft has already lifted the veil on the first releases of the Xbox Game Pass catalog in April 2026. In a few weeks, four games will leave the service, including a video game juggernaut.
In March 2026, Microsoft hit hard for its Xbox Game Pass. In the absence of in-house exclusives, the Redmond firm has capitalized on a few day one releases and excellent titles in their category, such as Cyberpunk 2077 or Hollow Knight Silksong, now available to all subscribers. The month of April promises to be just as rich. The American giant has already confirmed 11 games in the catalog, from classics like FF4, to recent gems like Hades 2including new features available as soon as they are released, including Aphelion, the next game from Don’t Nod. But, like any subscription service, so that these new features cannot arrive, Xbox will do a little monthly cleaning by removing a handful of games. The first releases from the catalog of Xbox Game Pass en avril 2026 are now known.
Here are the games leaving Xbox Game Pass in April 2026
In the catalog’s back-and-forth dance, one game always seems to be doing the same dance. Publishers negotiate fixed-term contracts to integrate games into the service, even if they have to come back and leave at regular intervals. This is particularly the case of GTA 5which, a few months after making its return to Xbox Game Pass, will leave the catalog along with four other games on April 15, 2026. Among the other notable releases, the friendly Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, a Japanese RPG released at the end of a well-run Kickstarter campaign, or even Terra Invicta, the equally good space 4X. Remember that after these four games, a second wave of departures is planned for April 30, but the identity of the leavers remains secret for the moment. What is not, however, are the first Xbox Game Pass additions from April 2026. Premium subscribers will be able to discover the GOTY 2025 Clair Obscur Expedition 33, when several independent titles will arrive, notably Hades 2 on the roguelike side, Tiny Bookshop for lovers of cozy experiences and book lovers, or even Aphelion, Don’t Nod’s latest production.
