Gran Turismo 7 will get new free content that fans will love

Polyphony Digital recently revealed new collaborative free content coming soon to Gran Turismo 7 that fans of all backgrounds will love.

As the end of the year approaches, the World Finals of Gran Turismo 7 were in full swing this weekend. In addition to virtual motor racing at its best, this championship was also an opportunity for the Polyphony Digital title to make many big announcements. This was particularly the case with new collaborative free content of certain importance coming soon to the PlayStation exclusive.

Historic free content coming globally to Gran Turismo 7

News of the Gran Turismo 7 World Finals from Fukuoka continues to trickle in. In addition to the important announcements and upcoming competition locations, Polyphony Digital and Hyundai revealed the next car confirmed for the game. This was the subject of an official presentation on stage by two respective representatives of the studio and Hyundai. The latter confirmed when this new free content will arrive in the game: in the next update of the game, and it will be about the Hyundai Elantra N TCR.

While Gran Turismo 7 already offers a nice selection of Gr.4 cars, the free addition of a modern, high-performance TCR car is great news for fans of front-wheel drive racing. This is Hyundai’s third TCR model, following the success of the i30 N and Veloster N. Developed by Hyundai Motorsport in Alzenau, Germany, the car was designed to take full advantage of the Elantra’s stable and efficient chassis. It also marks, as Hyundai specified or via the article below, 10 years of collaboration between Hyundai N and virtual automobile simulation, notably with the Gran Turismo license.

If the Elantra N TCR is the immediate reward coming soon for free on Gran Turismo 7, the partnership between Polyphony and Hyundai’s N division seems not to stop there. The brand’s representative actually suggested on stage that this is only the beginning, suggesting that the company is working closely with the studio on other announcements planned for 2026. Whether this will result in the introduction of new road-going N models, additional race cars, or perhaps a new Vision Gran Turismo project remains to be seen.
