If you loved Baldur’s Gate 3 and wait for Mass Effect 4, this new very promising RPG could definitively fill you on both plans.
After Exodushere is another space RPG shoots the sensitive rope of the amateurs of the unforgettable trilogie Mass Effectwhile waiting with a certain caution the next opus Bioware. The one that interests us here is however doubly more intriguing, because also claims an affiliation with the absolute masterpiece of Larian Studios that Baldur’s Gate 3. A new RPG that has an expansive love for Baldur’s Gate 3 and Mass Effect
Presented as one of the largest worlds in the future game show as part of the Summer Game Fest 2025Owlcat Games (Pathfinder KingmakerWarhammer 40,000 Rogue Trader) announced a whole new and very ambitious project to us: The Expanse Osiris Reborn. Or a new video game adaptation of the acclaimed series, which was going to take the form of a third -person RPG. Or very far from the studio habits, specializing in C-RPG in isometric view at Baldur’s Gate 3.
The trailer, however, made a strong impression. In addition to visibly very well stuck with the world of the series, Osiris Reborn does it with a sublime artistic direction on the Unreal Engine 5, and a gameplay at first glance spectacular. As part of an interview with CNET, Owlcat Games said that the title was naturally influenced by Mass Effect, but also by Baldur’s Gate 3. This in particular with regard to a Pushed narrationand a development of history dictated by our choicesalongside endearing characters with whom we can tie links.
After the Telltale The Expanse game, the prospect of reviewing a video game adaptation of the series is already exciting in itself. But if Owlcat Games has indeed managed to permeate his work of prestigious influences like Baldur’s Gate 3 or Mass Effect, these are particularly promising beginnings.
