Indeed, in the days preceding her marketing, actress Hellana Taylor, who lent her voice to the heroine in the first two opus, had called for players to boycott this third episode due to a dispute with the studio. Today, Hideki Kamiya then returns to this story to express his point of view.
Back to the Bayonetta 3 controversy

In mid-October 2022, shortly before the release of Bayonetta 3, Taylor published a series of videos in which she explained the reasons for her absence in this third opus. She then claimed to have refused to resume the role due to the indecent salary which had been proposed to her by Platinumgames, which she considered to be « immoral » : “It is an insult to me, the time that I spent working on my talent and all that I gave to this game and its fans”she had said in particular.
She therefore did not see the players of Bayonetta to “Boycotting this game”in any case if they considered themselves “Someone who is concerned with people, who is concerned about the world around him, who is concerned with those who are injured with these financial decisions”. Very quickly, the reactions had not been prevented on social networks. Like a pack, Internet users had rushed on the Platinumgames networks and the producer of Bayonetta 3, namely Kamiya, to attack these revelations.
The latter, surprised by the situation, had immediately accused the actress of lying. “I am incredibly disappointed. […] What happened today is a shame ” He had said in particular. And the fact is that he was right, since following an investigation by Jason Schreier in the process, Taylor had finally admitted to having omitted part of the story in his statements. Because the reality is that Platinumgames had made her several wages of wages, which she had all refused of her own free will by demanding more and more.

And it is precisely on this point that the producer of Bayonetta 3 now returns in a video published on a personal YouTube channel.
