10 years after its release, Bloodborne still hides secrets, including one recently discovered around an iconic passage from the masterpiece of Fromsoftware.
Even 10 years after its release, Bloodborne has scored many players indelible. It is clearly a unique and dear license in the heart of Fromsoftware, thanks to its Lovecraftian atmosphere as captivating. While many call a sequel or a remaster of their wishesRemakethe original game sees one of its unfathomable secrets unveiled by Lance McDonald, a specialist in the matter.
Clinically discovered secret for Bloodborne
Lance McDonald is indeed a creator of content specializing in the discovery of “lost” content. In a recent video, he rightly dedicates his latest find in Bloodborne, with the title “the hidden history of the most iconic shortcut” of the legendary title of Fromsoftware. Using a debug menu, it has unearthed a map de test of a place that has traumatized many players for 10 years: the Iosefka clinic.
If you are a veteran hunter from Bloodborne, you are aware that you can only visit a meager part of the clinic at the start of the game. The rest of the place is indeed accessible until much later in progress, via a shortcut to say the least tortuous. In the 27-minute video below, we can see an old prototype of the clinic, in which FromSoftware considered that players could from the start to visit the full. Likewise, the so feared cemetery was also very quickly accessible in this early version game.
Discovering the behind the scenes of a game and its different iterations is always fascinating to have an overview of the process of its development, as this video dedicated to Bloodborne illustrates it well. However, let’s hope that this strong franchise from Fromsoftware does not fully belong to the past, and that the talented Japanese studio still has plans for its future. Alas, the final decision belongs to PlayStation, owner of the license, which a priori makes deaf ear to the countless prayers of a passionate community.
