In addition to a new major update to come soon, Cyberpunk 2077 still would have a huge surprise in reserve that no one saw coming.
After years of hard work to offer redemption to Cyberpunk 2077it would finally seem that CD Projekt Red has not yet been finished with its latest title to date. The latter must indeed receive the late June a major patch 2.3. But it would apparently not be the only novelty that would still wait for V and Johnny in Night City. An addition of a whole wingspan would indeed be in preparation, although a priori not directly from the Polish studio.
V and Johnny soon back in the Gig of the century on Cyberpunk 2077?
After the release of Phantom Liberty and the deployment of the huge update 2.0, CD Projekt Red had declared that he no longer had much to do on Cyberpunk 2077, preferring to focus on his suite now, and more pressing on The Witcher 4. Both are currently occupying around 100 and 400 developers, a major part of the Polish studio.
Phantom Liberty had to be the one and only extension of the game. It could however be that another arrives, but not directly from CD Projekt Red. Some of the last updates from Cyberpunk 2077 also came from Virtuos, a support studio that has become known for The Elder Scrolls 4 Oblivion Remasteredet Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake future. On the LinkedIn profile of one of the employees of virtuos, we note the recent addition of a mission in progress since April 2025, which leaves little room for interpretations. More specifically, we learn that the Virtuos employee would have analyzed the voices of certain characters game for write dialogues as part of multiple new secondary missionsfor the Release of one or more new DLCs. These tasks have been carried out In collaboration with the narrative designer of Cyberpunk 2077in order to maintain scriptwriting consistency with the original game. Thus, Virtuos may soon spoil us with a new Gig Major with V and Johnny in Night City. However, it is necessary to wait for a more official announcement to be sure.
