Still alive despite the years, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot continues to get rich. After having revisited the great sagas of the anime, the Bandai Namco’s action-RPG game is about to explore a new part of the Dragon Ball universe with a DLC inspired by the series Always. Expected for the July 17, 2025the first chapter of this additional content, entitled Adventure Through the Demon Realm Part 1has just revealed itself on video. And as much to say that the atmosphere contrasts radically with the usual adventures of Goku.
An unprecedented world to explore on Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot
The main addition of this DLC Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a brand new environment, far from the plains of the earth. Direction the third demonic world, a strange place made of floating islands, supernatural creatures and an atmosphere charged with volcanic ash. An unprecedented decor, which even upsets gameplay habits: here, flying becomes difficult because of extreme conditions. To get around this, a fast travel system called Sky Seed appears.
In addition to the chests to discover, the open world is full of rumors to elucidate, in the form of small annex quests called Demon World Rumours. They come to enrich exploration, while bringing a little context to this new mysterious territory of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.
A return to action Daima
On the fighting side, the DLC of Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot seems to be inspired directly from the dynamic atmosphere of the Daima anime. The clashes promise to be more spectacular, with new enemies from the Château de Kadan, but also creatures like trolls and goblins. The player will be able to alternate between several emblematic characters of this chapter: Goku, the Supreme Kai, Glorio and Panzy. Everyone will have their own game techniques and styles.
Another interesting novelty: enemies can now inflict state alterations, such as poison or burn. It will therefore be necessary to use new care objects, such as the Medi Bug, to stay alive in the most dangerous areas.
Bandai Namco has already specified that this content represented only the first half of the Daima arc. A second part, Adventure Through The Demon Realm Part 2, will complete the story on a date still unknown. For the moment, this first episode seems to lay the foundations of an arc that is both more fantastic and darker, with a tone that sometimes recalls the Dragon Balls of the beginnings.
