A spiritual successor by Golden Sun goes out
In parallel with Tako no Himitsuanother spiritual successor of this great J-RPG classic developed by the Grenoblois studio Denos Games, also on Kickstarter, which we have already mentioned in our columns, it is this time another equivalent project that interests us here. Alzara Radiant Echoes, by the Montpellier studio Camelia, presented itself as a promising alternative to Golden Sun. This thanks to a solid turn -by -turn combat system highlighting the four elements, as well as rich characters leaving in a great adventure. A sewing program, which should have released current 2026 on PC and consoles and which had brought together nearly 300,000 euros via crowdfunding on Kickstarter launched in 2024, with more than 5,000 backers.
Unfortunately, it is in the past that we are talking about this other spiritual successor by Golden Sun in the French to monitor, since Camelia studio announced this tragic news of its closure this June 17, 2025. The developers published the sad announcement on the Kickstarter page of the game. The reason for this closure would be that the funded funds only allowed half of the development. The other half required an editorthat the studio sought to coax with these encouraging results and a playable demo, But unfortunately without success.
The Studio Camelia judicial liquidation was thus pronounced on April 28, 2025. Consequently, the team is found in the impossibility at the moment to reimburse backers from the Kickstarter campaign.
