In terms of exclusives, Marvel’s Wolverine is clearly one of the most anticipated games on PS5. Alas, for the moment, it is still vague and this new information only reinforces this vagueness.
If you hoped to get your hands on Marvel’s Wolverine or Intergalactic Next year, you will have to arm yourself with patience. Sony has just confirmed that these two big exclusives will not come out before April 2026. A discreet announcement, slipped into its annual presentation to investors, but which changes a lot.
Marvel’s Wolverine not for now
During his “business segment segment”, Sony presented the roadmap for his next major outings. Result : Death Stranding 2: On the Beach et Ghost of Yōtei are the two solo titles expected by March 2026. Nothing more. On the other hand, Marvel’s Wolverine (signed Insomniac Games) and Intergalactic (The new Naughty Dog project) are well mentioned, but only in the “future” category. In other words: not for now. Neither in 2025. Neither in the first quarter of 2026.
This postponement is not a total surprise. In recent months, several rumors have already mentioned a distant launch for the Naughty Dog game. Jason Schreier (Bloomberg) had also said that Intergalactic would not see the light of day in 2026. This new index seems to be right. On the side of Insomniac, the silence around Marvel’s Wolverine becomes heavy. Since its announcement, the game remains mysterious. Too mysterious. And some fans are starting to wonder if the PS5 will really see the game disembark one day. By dint of accumulating projects, the studio could well reserve its future nugget for the next generation.
A year 2025 already full
Fortunately, the current tax year will not be empty even even without Marvel’s Wolverine. Two long -awaited games are well wedged on the calendar. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, planned for the June 26, 2025 and Ghost of Yōtei, awaiting the October 2, 2025with a detailed presentation scheduled for July. Two ambitious productions, thoughts for narrative game fans. Two sure values, too, which allow Sony to keep the course while waiting for the rest.
Meanwhile, Neil Druckmann (president of Naughty Dog) confirmed that he produces a game still not announced. For the moment, no details. But if this project was to be released at the end of 2025 or early 2026, we imagine that it will be revealed very soon. A little state of play? A surprise announcement during the Tokyo Game Show or Game Awards? Anything is possible. This would be the perfect opportunity to fill the void left by Marvel’s Wolverine and Intergalactic.
